- 1999 – 2009: PYREG’s patented technology was developed by Helmut Gerber (CTO) at TH Bingen, laying the groundwork for sustainable carbonization.
- 2009: PYREG GmbH was founded as a spin-off to manufacture systems that convert organic waste into CO2-binding Biochar and Renewable Energy.
- 2022: We strengthened our global presence by establishing a US subsidiary in Portland, ME
